Sonic Moon is a Sonic the Hedgehog fan game made by SonicZTeam. The fan game was revealed in November of 2019 and released in the following month on Game Creator.
A sequel was also released in December of that year.
Gameplay[]

Gameplay appears to be more slow-paced and action-orientated than a traditional Sonic game; Sonic has basic movement and can attack with blue energy waves in the air and on the ground (via spin-dashing).
Lives appear in stages as floating Sonic icons. Collecting these will grant Sonic an extra life.
Development[]
On the 28th of November, 2019, the SonicZTeam Games YouTube channel uploaded a reveal trailer was uploaded. Two days later, a quick teaser was posted. On the 3rd of December, the launch trailer was uploaded, stating that a demo had been released, presumably elsewhere. The developer also put an easter egg in the trailer that would show the real date, which was 7th of December.
On the 11th, a launch trailer for Sonic Moon Boss Rush was uploaded.
